Earlier this year was my 25th birthday, and as it coincided with the Queen's Jubilee, I decided to celebrate with a "Vintage Day on the Green" themed party. This was complete with croquet, bobbing apples, ring toss and candy floss. The night finished with an outdoor viewing of my favorite classic, Singing In The Rain, while we all sat on hay bales eating pizza (ok, pizza's not so vintage, but it worked). It was so wonderful to share my special day with my friends and family and I loved that it was celebrated in a style that is 'so me'.

Why, Hello There!
Hello!
Welcome to the first post for my new blog - very exciting stuff!
Earlier this year we were very lucky to have my sister and nephew visit from the UK for a couple of weeks. This visit, without a doubt, is up there as a couple of the best weeks of my life. Now my sister may believe otherwise, but truly it was! I loved every minute of their visit; every poopy nappy changing, Peppa Pig watching, negotiating with a two year old minute. So please excuse me for a little bit while I gush about my totally wonderful nephew and share the special moments I got to have with my family...
My favourite part of our days together were the mornings. Every morning our little man would snuggle with me while we watched one of three things - 1) Peppa Pig 2) Ben & Holly or 3) The Bee Movie - before falling asleep for his morning nap. I would then spend the next couple of hours curled up on the couch with him in my arms, savouring every moment... unless of course I was too exhausted and fell asleep too, haha!
Our family is mainly girls, both immediate and extended... This was quite a change for my mother who was used to fairy wings, princess dresses and tea parties. Now it's racing cars, fearless climbing of EVERYTHING and playing in the dirt. How times change...
Big Love,
